Rakesh started advising students over a decade ago and is passionate about guiding students through the college application process.  He is active in higher education as an admissions interviewer, college lecturer, and student mentor at both Berkeley and UT Austin.  Rakesh brings a unique perspective with his background as an experienced technology professional, having held leadership positions at Fortune 100 companies and within the startup & VC ecosystem.  He understands both what it takes to be accepted to competitive colleges but also how to help students navigate the transition to internships & jobs after starting college. 

 

Rakesh was accepted to many top colleges ultimately graduating from the Business Honors Program at UT Austin with concentrations in Finance, Economics, and Mathematics as well as graduating with an MBA from Berkeley.  Rakesh is first-generation born in the U.S. and appreciates the value students and their families place on higher education.
